After three decades working as a production chemist in the international oil and gas industry — from the searing deserts of the Middle East and North Africa to the offshore rigs of the North Sea and Brazil— I decided it was time to ditch the hard hat and helicopter rides and pick up the tools I’ve always loved.

At Wood Chemistry, I make custom furniture, homewares, and wooden art — from bespoke tables, cabinets and chests of drawers to keepsake boxes, chopping boards and wall art — all crafted with care, precision, and a genuine respect for the wood itself.
